Privacy Policy for Nikah Register

Effective date: 21 October 2026

Nikah Register is a personal Android application used by one Nikah registrar to keep his own booking diary and Nikah records. This policy explains how the application handles information.

Information stored on the device

The records entered in the app, such as names, dates, places, phone numbers, identity card numbers and identity card copy photos, are stored only on the user's own phone, inside the app. The developer does not receive, collect or have access to any of this information.

Google Drive backup

The app offers an optional automatic backup. If the user signs in with a Google account, the app saves one backup file containing the records into the app's private application data folder in that user's own Google Drive (the drive.appdata area). This folder is hidden, is not shared with anyone, and can only be accessed by this app. The backup exists so the user can restore the records on a new phone after signing in with the same Google account.

The app requests only the Google Drive application data permission (drive.appdata) together with the basic sign in identity (email address) used to show which account is connected. The app never reads, changes or deletes any other file in the user's Google Drive.

No collection, sharing or advertising

Deleting data

Records can be deleted inside the app at any time. Uninstalling the app removes the records stored on the phone. The Google Drive backup can be removed by opening Google Drive, going to Settings, then Manage apps, choosing Nikah Register and deleting its hidden app data, or by disconnecting the app there. Signing out inside the app also ends its access to Google Drive.
